Site: Proactive IP Address Banning for those who probe us |
|
The server that Nuke Cops and Computer Cops live on now proactively monitors any port scans and automagically bans the origination IP address. The IPs that are banned are shown in real time. For more information, go here. We're the Cops, that help protect the Nuke world.

Re: Proactive IP Address Banning for those who probe us (Score: 1) by jank on Friday, June 27 @ 02:17:22 CEST (User Info | Send a Message) http://www.koetze.net | Big deal, did that 4 years ago with ipchains/portsentry and these days with iptables/psad....
But what about proactively blocking 'well known Nuke exploits scans' on legal ports like 80?
Why not the development of a module/procedure that puts those IP addresses into a .htaccess file?
It's almost there since there already a message
'i don't like you...'. From there it should be easy
to get a IP address and write it to a .htaccess.
THAT would really protect the Nuke World IMHO?
