Security: Microsoft warns of new Windows flaw |
|
MikeMiles writes "For anyone running Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP, or Server 2003 it's time to download another critical fix again. The new security flaw found is very similar to the one that hackers exploited to create the Blaster worm. In other words, it allows someone to gain control over your computer, delete data, and install unwanted programs.
So, before the hackers release the next nasty virus on the net to exploit this one, you can save yourself a headache by fixing it now. Story and link to download can be read here
Older versions of Windows (Millennium, 98, and 95), are not affected.
