UK based mr2 owners club reaches it 1000th member |

 vvti writes "about this time last year a few fellow mr2 owners were disillusioned with the other owners clubs in the uk , so we decided to start our own .
we initially started the club based on the invision forum board and a static website , but it soon became apparent that this method fragmented the site as a whole
as a member of an online gaming clan site here , I had previously seen other clan sites using the nuke package , so we decided to go with nuke and bring everything together so to speak
The site went live 7th may 2003 , since then we have has over 800k hits and we now have over 1000 registered members , which for a single marque car club is good imo . we also get comments saying that the site is the best mr2 owners club site ppl have seen , which is most gratifying on behalf of the other ppl who have helped me in getting the site to where it is today, Saggysadler in particular, I would like to thank every1 at NC for the support given

but let me just say that i was the first using php-nuke for a mr2 club
It's called MR2 Club Portugal.

And it's online since august 2002.
It's still on phpnuke 5.6 but it works fine.
Just have to cover the bugs from time to time.
Unfortunatly there aren't so many mr2 in portugal has in UK.
A few months ago i have started another phpnuke based website for the toyota owners community.

And this one was based on the great release from nukecops.
At the moment i'm waiting for the official release of 7.0 to remake the mr2 club portugal website.
