Beta Camserv module released
Modulesantiroot writes "Ive just made a phpnuke module for camserv, a webcam system (however it should work with any multi-part jpeg system)

The module works fine for myself, however should be classed as beta for the moment.

It includes an admin area within the module, and currently supports only one camera, however has been designed so I can expand this.

Feedback on any bugs, or suggestions on additional features would be greatly appreciated.

You can snag it from http://antiroot.homedns.org/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=2
(reg required)
or watch my cats on a demo of it at http://antiroot.homedns.org/modules.php?name=Camserv
(no reg required)

Hope this module is of use to some folk ;-)"

When I go to index.php it says "Hidden Wrestle Ownz Antiroot." If he was hacked I wonder what they came through.

Great to get posative feedback, thanks.

Multicamera's is planned at the moment, and the database has the entry for camera number, just the forms send the value as a hidden field saying cam_id=1.

Other webcam formats shouldnt be to difficult to include, such as good'ol'ftp'd images.

The main problem Im looking at at the moment is if its possable to insert javascript into the head section of the module (for timed image refreshes etc), as this would allow native Internet Explorer support rather than the current cheat which gives them the java code.

In short though, you can expect this module to continue to evolve for some time to come, and increase in features and functionality.

Keep the suggestions coming, please ;-)

On another note, I did get a website defacement attack. Same sort of thing that one of my mates got when he announced a module here. Thats sorted now, and some measures have been taken to make it harder to achieve in future. Still, if you stand up, you have to be ready to dodge the odd bullet I guess.

Cheers,
AndyG
