chris writes "The PHP Manual has been nuked!
Yes, the whole PHP Manual, with all its links, is now available as a PHP-Nuke module that will fit nicely into your PHP-Nuke: get the PHP Manual as a PHP-Nuke module and it will provide your visitors with the PHP knowledge they search for, all integrated into your PHP-Nuke site. No use of iframes is made, so this module is browser-independent. No need to leave your site anymore, no need to renounce to your website design - full customization control provided through CSS for thorough adaptation to your personal theme. A must-have for every technically-oriented PHP-Nuke site.
The module needs 23,7 MB of disk space for all it 3800 files, so it's not for small sites. Also, some ISPs do not allow more than 2000 files in one single directory - in this case you are also out of luck.
If you are interested to see how the PHP Manual was nuked, the method is described in detail in the PHP-Nuke HOWTO, in the subsection on How to include a HTML file and its links in a PHP-Nuke module, as well as in the thread How to transform a collection of HTML files into a module.
Get it here: PHP Manual as a PHP-Nuke module and install it on your site today! Send your questions to The Nuked PHP Manual thread of my PHP-Nuke Forum.
Admin Note: Awesome! You are the doc guru."

Re: PHP Manual nuked! (Score: 1) by chris on Wednesday, June 16 @ 17:33:09 CEST (User Info | Send a Message) http://www.karakas-online.de | Me beating strong... I hope without casualties! ;-)
Congratualtions to Antonio!
Looking at the index.php of the brazilian PHP module, I recognize that it uses the same method I used to create the PHP-Nuke HOWTO module [www.karakas-online.de]. In fact, since my name is in the index.php of the brazilian PHP Manual module too, one can easily deduce that it was taken from the PHP-Nuke HOWTO and adapted to the PHP Manual in its brazilian version.
To nuke the PHP Manual has been on my To Do list ever since I nuked the PHP-Nuke HOWTO. Antonio deserves the credit for being the first of us two who did it - in brazilian. Since I tried it independently of him (in the english version of the PHP Manual), I know how tricky it is!
Keep up the good work!
Chris
PS. So what is the next document to be nuked? I'll tell you something: I have also nuked the MySQL manual [dev.mysql.com], but I am the only person who enjoys it, locally, on my laptop!
Why? Because I have already contacted the MySQL Documentation Team and they do not give me permission to distribute the nuked version of the MySQL manual on the Web... :-( |
