Welcome aboard, Chief! Cool

Hey, I was playing around with this script, the other night, using the DOM Inspector in Mozilla Firefox, and I figured out a way to get the preloader to work with Mozilla browsers. This will be another first, eh what?

I'll PM you the details on The Disipal Site. You won't believe how simple this hack is - single line... Wink

It won't effect your version of the preloader, Telli. Wink

The Disipal version displays an image only, e.g. the wait message has been removed from the script. The wait message is actually displayed in the image itself, in the form of an animation. That way you don't have to mess around with matching the bgcolor to the theme, and so forth.

The fly in the ointment is, the script still tries to display a text message, but there is no message to display --- only an image. This causes an error because getElementById(name) has no properties. IE tolerates this error and displays the image, sans the text, but Mozilla balks at this and doesn't display anything. So, I came up with a simple solution...

In your version, this problem is taken care of by the 'gen time' text. The script thinks this is the 'wait message' object, so it's happy. No error is generated, and it displays fine in Mozilla. The fly in the oinment here is, you have to deal with the bgcolor issue.

LoL! It's an imperfect world we live in, no?
