I've posted my problems here and sad to say that me and alot of others are not recieving help from nukecops here. My problems as stated in previous post.

I've installed a fresh copy of Nuke 7.5 and then installed the 2.6 Patch from Chatserv. Everything went fine, but when I login and from the admin menu, I click on the forums icon, I get this error...

Warning: main(./../extension.inc): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /mnt/web_g/d11/s35/a0009ivv/www/pn/html/modules/Forums/admin/index.php on line 67

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required './../extension.inc' (include_path='.:/usr/local/nf/lib/php') in /mnt/web_g/d11/s35/a0009ivv/www/pn/html/modules/Forums/admin/index.php on line 67

I did a search here on the forums and found something simular to my problem and added...
Code:

require($phpbb_root_path . 'extension.inc');

Added right below $phpbb_root_path = "./../"; but this did not work or have any effect.

Could someone please help. I'd really appreciate it alot.

Cheers,

Mr Oldman

"html/modules/Forums/admin/index.php on line 67 "

reupload your files and should clear problem. And what were you think using phpnuke 7.5 'NEVER USE A NEW RELEASE BECAUSE FB ALWAYS SCREWS THINGS UP. THAT WAS YOUR FIRST MISTAKE"

That why i switched to a better version of nuke which is worth a look it called CPG Nuke if you want to take a look there located http://www.cpgnuke.com

You say that I'm missing the index.php file as stated above. I checked and it is there.

I don't know what I was thinking.... so dizzy, room spinning. Yeah I read about how FB is handling the software now, it's a shame that he does not care anymore. You would think he would since he's getting funded by Mandrake or last time I checked he was.

I went to the web site and downloaded v8.2b and will check it out. Maybe I will convert. I already see 1 feature that it can use right from thier web site already, CBC. Very Happy

Yeah, CPGNuke is great, as long as you DO NOT want anything unique, or have the time and ability to edit just about every advanced block or mod in order for it to work.

I'm sorry it took you so long to get an answer on Nukecops. My connection is currently down at home, and well, I have a life too.

I just thought you should know that while CPGNuke is a good CMS, you really need to be an advanced user if you want anything more than the basic package.

I have a better idea than switching to CPG-Nuke... Use an HTML template and use MacroMedia's DreamWeaver to update it Very Happy Just kidding, it's a nice tool if you need a basic site that does very few and basic functions.

From what I hear, the new version of CPG-Nuke is supposed to be even easier to use. Although blocks, modules and such need to be ported, their team is always willing to help out with converting such items. It's really not hard to make the switch to CPG-Nuke. I did, and I will never regret it Smile

I'm not an idiot. I've been working with PhpNuke since version 5. I do know how to edit the .php files

I've just installed CPG Nuke 8.2b and so far have only spent like 5 minutes with it. It's got everything already in it by default that I was looking for, for the Foundations New layout for 2005. I'm going to seriuosly check it out now. I still have PhpNuke 7.5 installed and would like to fix the error. If can't be fixed, then I have my finger on the RED Button (Delete).

Thank you

Cheers,

Mr Oldman

The file missing is extension.inc not index.php

I came across that file this morning and already tried it. It did not work. Someone else told me that I have a missing file.

/modules/Forums/admin/index.php

But that file is there.

Is the 2.6 Patch really necessary?
By not installing it, will it leave security holes open?

Anybody else with a possible fix?

Cheers,

Mr Oldman

Checked that also, and that file is there also.

Chatserv, if you would like to check the problem, PM me right now and I can give you and Admin login name and password.

I think your best option is to switch to CPGNuke MrAdvancedPHPUserSinceVersion5.

The error indicates that you are missing a file from the same folder as Forums/admin/index.php. CPGNuke will resolve this problem in no time.

You are wrong. That was not the problem. There was not a missing file.

Unless someone verifies that I am wrong with what this error is saying, I would say you don't have any idea what you are talking about Very Happy

Code:

Warning: main(./../extension.inc): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /mnt/web_g/d11/s35/a0009ivv/www/pn/html/modules/Forums/admin/index.php on line 67
