I installed 7.6 last night using cpanel. I set up my super user/admin account and everything went fine. I was allowed to login as the admin and access the admin menu. I took a break and when I came back I couldn't access admin.php to login as the admin, I kept getting "access denied".
I deleted that installation and started over, this time making the admin block visible to all registered users (temporary until I figured out what the issue was) and thought I had my problem fixed. Once again now I can't access admin.php and even when I'm signed in with my regular user account I can't see the admin block.
I know from reading about 7.6 that as a security measure, you can change the admin.php file but this hasn't been done. Thus far other than customize the theme for my site, I installed the scrolling forums block.
I've tried everything I can think of and even searched for this same problem, seems I can't find any posts that are similar to mine or I'm searching in the wrong place. I appreciate any help anyone can give me on this.
