Re: PHP-Nuke Clan Pack Back (v1.02) (Score: 1) by WD-40 on Saturday, February 19 @ 16:28:55 CET (User Info | Send a Message) http://www.opensourceworks.org | Yes, I'm sure... They probably saw the post on phpnuke's homepage that a user posted in regards to our scripts and the license we use and felt the rules don't apply to them because of this.
PHP-Nuke Platinum is packaged illegally as well. You are not allowed to distribute NukeSentinel or any other NSN Script with PHP-Nuke because of the (2) two different licenses we use.
PHP-Nuke is in violation of the GPL License with their commerical licenses due to it containing phpBB.
Maybe, some day... We should better teach the practices of licensing.
I know if these events keep on continuing, further adaptions will be made with our licenses or such may not be available.
There may be some older releases under the GNU/GPL that you may find and with this, you are allowed to distribute with PHP-Nuke. Otherwise, try using something else would be appreciated of.
There's only so much that can be done and only so much that we are going to waste our time with as well. Support will just be avoided for these users til such other actions are required for such.
It might be time to start hitting the books and learn for yourself how to code and start including your own work instead of these repacks. |
