My site is running PHP-Nuke 6.5 and phpBB port v2.0.5 based on Tom Nitzschner's phpbb2.0.6 upgraded to phpBB 2.0.5 standalone. I've seen reference to other versions of PHP-Nuke (i.e. 6.5betaxx). I'm not sure if I have 6.5+ any beta stuff. Is there a way to check? Is the security 3 file the latest to use on v6.5?
When I go 'Home', I get this:
When I go to 'Admin login', I get this:
When I click on 'Forums' while logged in as admin it shows me the forum view as "not logged in". But if I click the 'Members List' it will show me the current members of the site (since the site and phpBB2 are combined now). I'm a bit confused since it's showing me the members list, but not the forum. As admin I still have to log in as a 'user' account to access the areas of the site that are for 'registered users' only?
If I completely log out (admin & user) it gives me the normal 'access denied' generated by the site.
As admin I can access the forum admin panel, but I'm not actually logged into the forum??
When I'm logged in as a 'user' it shows my name logged in at the top of the page. When I'm logged in as 'admin' it just shows the "Create an account" entry as though I'm not really logged in. I know I'm logged in because the admin features are present and available now.
Also, I have the forum configuration set to 'Enable account activation' by 'Admin' approval. For some reason I don't receive the Email that allows me to approve/disapprove the member.
The updated bbtonuke is released by nuke cops and not by Tom.

What he's saying is that the forum you're using is actually a NukeCop forum, based on Tom's design. If you read the versions, you'll see that it's saying that you're using BBtoNuke ver 2.1, based on a version of phpbb, etc., etc.,.
As far as fixes go, if that's what you're looking for, check this link and see if it's right for you. It's a compilation of all the previous fixes for 6.5. Make sure you read the info before installing.
As far as your logging issue goes; logging in as the SuperUser (Admin) is a completely different function than logging into the site to interact and such. When you log in as the Admin, you're logging into the Admin portion of the site only. I am by no means an expert on PHP, but I believe that is done for security reasons.
Hope that helps a little bit. Like I said, I'm no expert.

Thanks for the clarification on Zhen-Xjell's post, I wasn't sure if he thought I had purposely mis-credited someone's work or what.
I'll apply the security fix 4, thanks for the link pointing it out. I had always wondered if each successive security fix was a compilation or not. Does that make the version number different in any way? I see references (blocks, add-ons, etc) that say you must have RC-1 or v6.5b6 and so on, but I haven't figured out how to determine my version number I'm running. Aside from remembering the last update I made.
Thanks for the info on the admin/common user login. I guess it made sense to me that the admin, once logged in, would have access to the forum to make a post there...heh.
