Stop spamming into PHP-Nuke comments |
|
aenigma writes "After spending lots of time in removing spamming from the comments of the articles I wrote on my site I decided to enable the security-code check for posting comments.
Instead of requiring the registration for the user to post comments I searched a different solution to stop the spamming of my site, the solution that I found is to enable the security-check code to post a comment to a news. In this manner only real people can post, and automatic scripts from spammers will fail in filling up my site of every kind of shit.
If you know italian you can read also the article that I wrote on my site at the address: http://www.thekey.it/article201.html
If you do not know italian you can proceed directly to the download page where you can get the instruction to enable the security-code in your site. The instructions are written in Italian and English, so almost everyone can understand them.

Re: Stop spamming into PHP-Nuke comments (Score: 1) by JackX on Saturday, May 14 @ 06:25:06 CEST (User Info | Send a Message) | I have deactivated all comments on my site with the exception of surveys. Works for me, I just have users redirected to the forums to post comments, I think this works much better. 8) |
