RSS Module Released - 2.0 Compliant! |
|
chaosconundrum writes "Santeria Systems is pleased to announce the release of our RSS module, now 2.0
compliant!
Broaden your reach and exposure with an RSS generator script that will publish
as much information as the specification currently allows. Do not just settle for a simple
topic title and link, which no one is going to follow. With an RSS 2.0 feed, you
also get to include your news article "Story Text" as the description in the
feed.
Now people can see the beginning of the story in your feeds, just like that do
with the News module on the homepage of your site! So, do not let your site and
content be stuck in the rut of the backend.php generator. The .91 specification
simply does not publish enough information to generate interest in following for
the content you are publishing.
Also very important is the fact that with the RSS feed as a module, you can use the tracking and filtering of other administrative modules such as Sentinel and MS-Analysis, and view statistics just like with any other module on your site!
Our module includes an important update to the language files so that date and time
formatting is compliant with RFC 822, which is essential for proper RSS
aggregation. Your feeds will now be properly date and time stamped
- allowing feed readers to properly archive and store your feed, only updating
it if changes are made - and most importantly, keeping your feeds in proper
chronological order!
You can see this module in action by visiting
the Googletap URL, or by
visiting the module
directly.
Feel free to test and validate the RSS for 2.0 compliancy. Here are the
results for scripting.com's validator.
Any questions can be addressed in our
technical support forum.
This module costs a whole $5.00 USD. Please support a poor out-of-work admin."
