A Brief History of Dial-up Hacking |
|
lineman1996 writes "Someone on the LearnToHack.org forums was recently asking about something he called "dial-in hacking." Once I double-checked that he was asking about what I thought he was asking about, I shared with him some of the reasons why this isn't as much of a problem as it used to be.
I decided to extend my response into an article as it explains a little about the Golden Age of hacking that many people aren't aware of. The history of this stuff reveals much about the nature, purpose, and roots of hacking."
