SPChat is a multiuser chat system for PHPNuke and Postnuke Systems. The application is written in PHP with Javascript portions and uses your MySQL database to store messages and users. This module contains nearly all functions like a professional chat application. Have also a look to our detailed project pages to get more informations.

Seems like a great module, but I'll be damned if any of us can get the actual chatroom to pop up after joining. Seems to be a common problem from what I can see. Incidently I have all pop-up blockers disabled. An improvement for nukers would be to have the chatroom embedded the site (ie. no pop-up).
