Its seems pretty straight forward that something isnt CHMOD'd correctly...
Although I could be completely wrong.
Any help would be much appreciated.

This is the error that I get the most and the one that is the most irratating.
Everytime I try and make a new category, I get this error:

If anyone could help me out and let me know what I should do to fix it I would be much appreciative. Thanks.

SAFE mode is the problem. You can't create directories on the fly (from scripts) with safe mode on. You have to manually make the directories first.
Talk to your host to see if you can get safe mode turned off. You can also try to turn safe mode off in your .htaccess file. I don't remember the exact line to put in there, but if you search the forums for safe mode, you'll find it.

The problem that I run into when I try and manually make the directories is that the My eGallery spits back an error message that says that the directory already exists but then wont set up a category.
I would like to figure this out and fix it, but as a substitution I just edited the existing "Art" category and its working fine.
