Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, or if it has been answered previously... I searched the forums and couldn't find the answer.

For some reason, I can login in as admin from admin.php but trying to login as the regular user it tells me Incorrect login, I've had it send me the password in the mail and that still doesn't work, but I am still able to logout/login to the admin section, using my original password....

I have asked other regular users to attempt to login and they have said they are having no problems, so I can only assume this is only affecting me.

Only, because the weird thought struck me.... I logged out from admin, so that I was logged out from both ends... then tried to login as regular user and still nothing.

I guess the only good thing about this is I am not locked out from Admin but if anybody would have any idea why its keeping me from logging in to the main end of the site, it would be greatly appreciated.

Again, sorry if this was posted previously,
and Thanks, in advance Rolling Eyes

I guess I should have also mentioned that I am running v6.5 with sec-fix4.... and also, I've removed the security code from the site.

Just for the hell of it, I just now registered another nick, confirmed it, then tried to log in with it, and it won't let me login with that new regular user either....

Ok, I guess that about covers everything...

Thanks Again.....

Might have to do with the security code removal, check the index.php file from the Your Account module as traces from the security image code might still remain within it.

Thanks chatserv, it turns out as I was posting that 2nd message, another member of the site was telling me that they ran into the same problem... requested the new password and it didn't work.

anywayz.. checking the index.php in Your_Account I found there was one instance that was still hanging around, which seems a lil odd as I removed the security code some time ago, and never had any problems b4.

So, without further blabbering, the member of the site that told me she was having the same problem.... said it now works, and the new user that I created jus a bit ago, now logs in... but I'm still not able to login as a regular user with the superuser name, very weird, but a partial fix is better than no fix at all Razz

Thank You again, I really appreciate the help

Any idea why the superuser name would still be giving me the problems tho??

moved from bug fixes to Post Installation Help since this seems to be a problem with a self-mod(not saying thats bad) just not a bug in the nuke package that requires fixing.

but since i'm posting anyways i'll take a moment to plug my security code mod
http://www.voicesinmyhead.net/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=20&ttitle=Enhanced_Security_Codes_Mod_for_PHP-nuke_6.7

that should allow you to disable security codes without breaking logins Smile
