I have vers. 7.9, I am trying to get the download module to work. I have really simple questions.

1) Where do I have to create/store the files on my server
2) When I try, the file shows up in the catagory I created. When I click to download, I get the page like the url is a bad url. ex. could not file page.

I know i am doing something stupid, please help. I am a coplete newbie, however, I know how to FTP, I can create a folder in the root folder and get my files there, I just cannot access them from the download module.

If i stored the files in a folder called files, would not the url look like this:

http://www.mysite.com/files/filename.zip

Please help.

1) Wherever you have that is web-accessible. Yes, if you store in a directory files, then your path would look like
http://www.mysite.com/files/filename.zip

2) You must have a wrong link. Make sure the link is the correct path relative to your site's root folder
