GJ Ander!

Simple and to the point, exactly what some people are looking for.

That file from your site is huge though...maybe you should convert this tutorial into a pdf or word doc? Took a while to dl.

lots of effort gone in there Ander but I have a question;

If you've set $dbname to "testing_12" in config.php how does the nuke.sql file add tables to the database called malice_demonz?

That section in config.php $dbname is for the name of your database. I just used "testing_12" as an example thats all.

I see what your trying to say though, for the tutorial it does look confusing. I may change that to save on further confusion.

You have to FTP the sql folder? I thought if you simply uploaded the text file from your own hard drive that was enough? So you need that sql folder within your root directory?

Thanks for your help and this tut!

Scott

No you dont need the sql file or folder in the webhost root folder, you just upload the sql file into your database using phpmyadmin.

Ive edited the section your refering to, ive tried to make it a touch clearer

Im a total newbie here,
spent all last night trying to get this working.
I think I made a mistake with the config? file?
Could you elaborate on how it should look when done correctly please?

I uploaded the files inside the html folder up to the website-does this make a difference?

Im running Windows XP and phph Nuke 7.5

Thank you,
So confused Smile

$dname

I read the howto and install text files but dont understand so well.
For example-how do I set the database password and how do I find/set my database user name?

Thank you,
MFM

The database login is set from the MySQL controls.
