I am wondering, when I am in the forum admin area I see this at the bottom under the version information:
Your installation does not seem to be up to date. Updates are available for your version of phpBB, please visit http://www.phpbb.com/downloads.php to obtain the latest version.
The latest available version is phpBB 2.0.19.You are running phpBB 2.0.15.
So i have nuke 7.8. How can I go about upgrading the forum area alone? Or is that really even needed?? I have an idea of what might need to be done but thought I would ask ya'll.
What you want is BBToNuke - they are versioned the same as the phpBB files. Note: they are not cumulative, you will have to install each sequentially.
I suggest you first install the Patched files. That will upgrade your site to BBToNuke 2.0.17, as well as fix many other security issues in phpNuke. Than go and install 2.0.18 and 2.0.19
Okay, I have a question too... I'm a bit of a noob re. upgrading php..
I'm running phpnuke 7.1 .. and have the forum module.. phpbb 2.0.10 (see www.singlemom.dk )
How do i upgrade to the latest version of the forums? And where can i find the file to download..
Please explain step by step what i need to do, if possible - thanks
And another question. Can i just patch the security files on phpnuke 7.1 or do i need to upgrade it to the newest version of phpnuke (which i'm not happy about, cause i'm afraid something will mess up)? I am running admin secure, so hackers aren't getting through (knock on wood), although I have SQL injection attempts daily.

The BBToNuke files, as explained above.
I would suggest upgrading to 7.6 - it is the most stable one, and is being Patched. No other versions are actively supported
