Upgrading Question

I hope I am posting this in the right area. If not, sorry.

I am running nuke 7.7 and when I go to the fantastico my host puts up, I notice that I can upgrade to 7.8.

I have done this before with the 7.7 and when I went to the site after upgrade, it was disasterous. The wyswyg addition to the program really threw me for a loop and I spent the next couple days fixing problems and redoing mods. All better now but heres the question.....

When I upgrade to 7.8, is there major changes in the program that will have me busy for the next couple days redoing mods and files?

Also I have been lightly hacked recently and am looking for a good security program. Sentinel seems to be the one Im leaning towards. Is this compatable with nuke 7.7? 7.8? Can you suggest a better security program that is easier to install?

Sorry for all the questions but I am on a need to know basis right now.

The only issue I had after upgrading from .7 to .8 (using fantastico) was the advertising/banners module. But that was a very simple fix after searching the forums here.

I also use sentinel and havent had a problem.
