I was wondering if someone can help me work out how to add an ID to a download document to enable me to edit the document at a later stage?

I am now sure where you enter the document ID so that it can be found later in the database when you wish to edit that download

thankyou

Adam

One way is to view the detials of the download, just like you were a normal user. On the top set of links there is one titled 'modify'. Click on the link and you can send a request to edit the download. Afterwards you should see a new submission on your admin panel, just accept the changes.

Another option: Again go to the downloads section of your site. Hover over the link to download the file. If you look on the status bar below(in IE), the ID of the download is visible. It should end in '....d_op=getit&lid=11'. Eleven is the ID you want(for example because that number will probably be different).
