Using Protector and have a small niggle. I have a customised module loosely based on the Nuke user registration module.

The module use the Mail command and sends an email confirmation to the user. Only thing is - the email header From line is being replaced with the text - "Protector System".

Have searched around Protector admin - and the Admin language file etc and just can't find where or how this is happening. Its not the end of the world but it's a little bit annoying!

Anyone got any clues on this?

Running Protector System 1.15.b1 on Nuke7.5 - Yes, reading this forum I know I should upgrade!

Well what code is it using? Probably you are using the same variable name as something inside Protector

Thanks.

Here is the code I'm using....

Code:

..
..
$headers .= "From: ***.org<webmaster@***.org>\r\n";
$headers .= "Reply-To: <webmaster@***.org>\r\n";
$headers .= "X-Sender: <webmaster@***.org>\r\n";
$headers .= "X-Mailer: PHP4\r\n"; //mailer
$headers .= "X-Priority: 3\r\n"; //1 UrgentMessage, 3 Normal
$headers .= "Return-Path: <webmaster@***.org>\r\n";
$headers .= "Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1\r\n";
..
..
mail($email, $subject, $messageuser, $headers);

(*** = have blanked out website URL)

Looking at the recieved email code, it looks like this

Code:

To: ***@***.co.uk
Subject: ***
From: Protector System <webmaster@***.org>
X-Mailer: PHP/ . phpversion())X-Priority: 1
X-MSMail-Priority: High
From: nctcheltenham.org <webmaster@***.org>
Reply-To: <webmaster@***.org>
X-Sender: <webmaster@***.org>
X-Mailer: PHP4
X-Priority: 3
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

You'll see that Protector System has been inserted into the From: line somehow, though the "webmaster" bit is okay...

So maybe something to do with the variable name - maybe not?

Maybe I'll try using a variable name other than $headers and see what happens...!

Sorted!

Yes - it seems to have been use of the $header variable Laughing

Changed it to something else and the To: line has no longer got "Protector System" included.

Why didn't I think of that before! This has been annoying me for 7 months!

cheers, John_Mar
