I've never seen this anywhere on other nuke sites so it seems like an major overhaul of the system itself. Maybe a feature request? Would this be simple to do or complicated to make function as below:
Users forgets username/password...
In Your Account module tweaked to include option to enter email to have the forgotten generated password sent...?
You know? People 'forget' their usernames... making it difficult for them to access. |

That's a great suggestion, imo! I'll give it a couple of days to see if anyone knows of a mod like that. If not, I think I'll write one. Thanks! |

Yeah, never even heard or seen anything about that either. Surprising this wasn't attentive when phpnuke been around couple years or more.
Thought site owners would have complained about this long time ago |

Wow... just spurting out an extremely simple idea and then you, Raven jumps right on offering to write one! So, you're a PHP programmer by trade?
My ego just shot right up! Also my creativity and abstract thinking:

I am very pleased to see that you may write up one and very looking forward to this simple concept created out of nothing but human's CPU (err... mind)
Simple concept but EXTREMELY useful and much needed.
Raven, thank you for that. |

What good is a password if they don't know their username? I was starting to look at this and seem to be confused. Please detail how you would see this working? What verification scheme would be there to keep me from stealing YOUR identity? |

just input the email address you registered with would do. Nuke would then match that email addy to a user in the database, and send out an email with the username

Try this and let me know how it works. It seems to work in my tests. Once a few of you have tried it I will post it on my site.

Sorry for incommunicado! I actually forgot my own username here! Took me a while to browse through forums hunting down my username, man...
Now that's gonna be useful to have that! I recall last year, I downloaded it and found it to be complicated and gave up on it.
Sorry! But I'm becoming a veteran playing around with it, so I could give it a try again if you still up to it? |

Hi I have had lots of users who have forgotten username and pass. It blocks them from signing on again because the email is in the database.
Thanks
