Private Messages Not Working Properly

Hello,

I am using nuke 7.7 and phpBB 2.0.14.

When a member tries to send a private message the message simply stays in their outbox. This started happening about a week ago, but was working properly before that.

I have checked everything I know to check and all settings and permissions are correct.

I am not getting an error messages, the PM appears to send correctly but never leaves the members outbox.

I would appricate any help given. Thank You.

This sounds like an SMTP issue.

You may need to check with your host.

Thanks for your response.

I have checked with them and there have been no changes made recently (or at least since then time the PM's were working). You will have to excuse my lack of knowlegde, but in the configuration area of the forum I have selected to use the php mail function and not the smtp setting for sending mail. I did change that to smtp and entered the appropriate info and still got the same results.

I really don't know where to go from here?????

I got complaints from members of my site that Private Messages staid in Outbox rather than in Sent. But it seems to work so that the messages stays in Outbox until it is read by the receiver then it is moved to the Sent box. My site seems to work fully normally.

Slackervaara is correct, it remains in the Outbox until the receiver reads it. Then it will go to the Sentbox. This is by-design in phpBB
