There are many websites out there that have engines like php-nuke, postnuke or whatever. But 99% have one thing in common : you can tell what engine is running in the blink of an eye. The familiar 'blocks', the modules menu's, the themes used. This "it's another generic nuke site" feel is what I wanted to avoid at all cost, as it repels alot of visitors to see "yet another site with the same design".
As of today I am terminating this small project of mine, having proven to myself that php-nuke is capable and flexible enough, but for anyone who cares to get inspired, you can still view it at:

wow, love the site, super experiment. I had guessed, just from playing with the phpnuke engine on my local site that something like this could be acheived but never did I imagine seeing it taken to the level you raised it to. My hats off to you.
On another note. Tell me the secret of your newfeeds on the main page. |

There is no secret really. The news items you see are pulled from the *_stories table and are inserted into that table either by hand using the admin 'add story' script or by a story selection script I wrote in conjunction with the Mine The Web content grabber. The only automatic feed is the "this week's releases" tab, which is an xml to be found on movieweb.com |

Is "Mine the Web" a module or something? I would really like to know where to go for information and download... |
