Hi i have recently installed PHP 7.5, however new users arent getting the activation mail, but there details are being registered.

I have found the database section where the details are being kept but cant accept from there, is there a mod that will allow me to do this?

Also when i try to mass email members from the forum admin, i get a debug error with the emailer.php file on line 244

Code:
include('includes/smtp.' . $phpEx);

and line 247

Code:
$result = smtpmail($to, $this->subject, $this->msg, $this->extra_headers);

Does this have something to do with my SMTP settings?

Im getting really frustrated with this now, i love PHP and have ironed out many bugs i have fished out, but this one has me completly stumped.

If anyone can help then that would be great, thanx in advance.[/code]

I know this post is a little old but I don't visit here much anymore.
You have two separate problems, one is a minor problem in the BB code, the other is with your hosting provider.
I posted a fix for the first problem with a workaround for the second one here. For a real fix to the second problem, if you have a decent provider, you just need to enable formmail. The original host I had that required me to come up with the work-around had something wrong with their formmail configuration and there was nothing I could do about it. With my new host, there is a CGI section where all I had to do was click to enable formmail. On some other hosts, you can upload formmail.pl to your CGI folder and it will be fixed.
If you need to get a copy of formmail to upload, just run a Google search on formmail.pl and the first hit should be the right one.
