Since I got GoogleTap working this morning I noticed googlebot crawling my site over and over and over
its like the hostname "crawl-66-249-65-244.googlebot.com"
(thats how it appears in the Who is online Admin module v3.0 by Jack Kozbial Internet International ) keeps reconnecting because everytime I refresh the module it displays the time Online and the time increases until it gets to various amounts like between 1 to 2 minutes and then it starts over like it reconnected - I would imagine this is a good thing but I have never seen google crawling my site for so long
I use the meta tag <META NAME="REVISIT-AFTER" CONTENT="1 DAYS">
which should only be used on sites that have rapidly changing content
anyone here know more about how googlebot crawls and indexes ?
I know search engines are different in the way the spider and then determine what urls get indexed and which ones don't?
It has been over 4 months since - I posted that last post.
Since, I have done many things to increase the targeted traffic to my site.
I have increased my business 10 fold and Googletap played a significant role in this. - Yahoo Slurp, msnbot, inktomi, googlebot, looksmart's crawlers, they are all regular visitors on my site and my search engine rankings for the words I chose are in the top 10 results in over 90 search engines around the world - This is only the beginning!
I am going to make a fortune! - The internet is a wonderful place to do business!
I also confirm everything what u are saying above...works great
We installed Gt about the same time as u, without any further 'promotion' we also are in the top 10 of most major engines...usually in the top 5 to 2.
Certainly is nice to see threads "hey works great, thanks" rather than cant get working, doesn't work, got errors etc

-I did though have trouble with NukeWeather - just havent had time to figure it out - says its unavailable...... - I am working on my personal site right now - My business site is thriving
I am also making a "sister" site to draw more business involving bus transportation in Orlando area
The phpnuke/nuke support sites that are out here on the web are the greatest thing since sliced bread.....
