Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, please move topic if it is. I'm wondering if there was a way to target ads?

The "Banners" module is confusing to me. I don't understand banner advertising completely so maybe someone can sum that up for me. I signed up as an affiliate for a place that offers disscounted magazines and i recieve 25% for anyone that clicks through the banner on my site and signs up. Now i set this up through the banner module and put 0 for unlimited impressions. I added multiple images so it rotates different ads for this particular client. Is this the main use for the module? Is what i'm doing okay or is there a better way with phpnuke?

Finally, if this is right, is there a way to edit the include to target customers based off of their sex? For example:

If ($user == female)
then $bannerid = 15

and display a banner of a certain id? I hope this makes some since. I can understand some php code but still learning.

If not, would it be hard to make this? As far as i know, if $banner has a value, then it included banners.php?

Thanks!
