I did what the install.txt said except for shutting off my site because I dont know how :
| Quote: |
1. Extract all files from Admin Secure archive file to a temporary folder
in your local system. Plase keep the directory structure.
2. Upload these following images and language files onto your server:
- /html/images/asec_images/*.* -> [phpnuke_root]/images/asec_images/*.*
- /html/includes/aslang.php -> [phpnuke_root]/includes/aslang.php
- /html/includes/asec_lang/*.* -> [phpnuke_root]/includes/asec_lang/*.*
3. Upload /html/asec_upgrade.php onto your PHP-Nuke root directory, then
execute it from your browser's address bar. For example:
http://www.mysite.com/asec_upgrade.php |
I trying running asec_upgrade.php but it told me it couldn't find the file even tho I have it in the right directory.
| Code: |
Warning: main(includes/asfunc.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/tkocomm/public_html/diego/nuke/asec_upgrade.php on line 62
Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/asfunc.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/tkocomm/public_html/diego/nuke/asec_upgrade.php on line 62 |

You only run the upgrade script if you have an existing installation of Admin Secure. If this is a new install, you do not use the upgrade script at all. The install doc has four parts. The last two deal with new installs. Read them over. |

oops, my mistake. I've gotten past the part where I receive the activation codes. When it tells me to upload the folder of my current nuke version from "nukefiles" dir, there is no 7.5 (my current nuke version) The highest it lists is 7.2. Is there somewhere where I can get the files for Nuke version 7.5? |

I managed to get everything installed succesfully, but I cant figure out why I'm not getting access to the admin secure admin panel. I logged on as GOD admin, then went to asec.php and typed in the security code and it was sucessful. I clicked "God Admin Approval" and it said it was sucessful. But when I am in admin.php as GOD admin, I don't see anything for Admin Secure? |

I had the same problem when I first installed Admin Secure.
This is how I fixed it:-
Using phpMyAdmin,
Select your nuke database
Select nuke_authors
Click on Browse (nuke_authors)
First I removed Admin Secure (not sure if you need to, so you might try the following before, if it doesn't work, then remove admin secure and do it again.)
You'll then see all the admin accounts listed, DELETE them all.
Now when you now go to /phpnuke/admin.php you'll get a screen saying no administrators set up, and giving you the option of setting one up.
Make sure you set up the first one as GOD, GOD, whateverpassword.
You should now be able to log into admin.php.
Then replace the admin.php in your browser address with yourrenamed asec.php file and you should get in. |

I uninstalled Admin Secure, then deleted my God account and created it again. Then I installed Admin Secure again, yet the same thing is happening. I noticed on the readme they wanted me to upload "auth.php" into my phpnuke root dir. First of all, my auth.php for PHPNuke 7.5 is in [phpnukeroot]/includes. Second, there was no auth.php file in the version 7.5 folder of "nukefiles" (downloaded from the sticky in this forum) |
