Yes you read it right PHP-Nuke 6.5-7.1 all don't show the subcategories in the Web_Links module.

Is this module so much depreciated that it isn't used, or do people just don't see it ?

Oh well if there are people that wanna see the subcats again here's the solution. open "modules/Web_Links/index.php" and replace
Code:
    while(list($cid2, $title2, $cdescription2) = $db->sql_fetchrow($result2)) {
        categorynewlinkgraphic($cid2);
with
Code:
    while(list($cid2, $title2, $cdescription2) = $db->sql_fetchrow($result2)) {
        echo "<td valign=\"top\"><font class=\"option\"><strong><big>&middot;</big></strong> <a href=\"".getlink("Web_Links&amp;l_op=viewlink&amp;cid=$cid2")."\"><b>$title2</b></a></font>";
        categorynewlinkgraphic($cid2);

I am using it on 7.0 but am not facing any problem. Maybe one of the patches already has this fix.

I'm useing a patched 7.1 and I'm not only using it, it is to be the main part of my site as a directory! So PLEASE DON'T suggest it be removed.
If anything I'd like to see some improvements to weblinks Rolling Eyes

Nope I've not noticed this but what I have noticed is Nuke is not able to sort content in many areas.
For example, in the admin, weblinks, the "add a new link" drop down is all over the place this will very confusing with 100's of categories not sure yet were else this occurs.

Also, take a look at the Nuke Cops download pages. When viewing a downloads category click "sort by date added" the first page is fine, however click on next or page 2 and it is all over the place again
I've not checked but I assume the weblinks could be the same also.

I've noticed this on many Nuke sites so I'm convinsed it's not an error with my instalation of nuke and I posted the bug on PHPNuke.org yesterday (No reply yet).

Anyways Thanks for noticing and fixing that djmaze nice to know someone else has some interest in the weblinks module.

Kindest Regards
Steve
