Hi there,

I'm a new user... struggling to get to grips with modules, topics and blocks.

My question relates to setting up a series of micro sites as the main content of a 'not for profit sector' portal.

What I need is a page which lists all the micro sites [each comprising of around 5 who, what, where, when and why pages]. belonging to information resources and a page listing all micro sites belonging to commercial resources.

I want short descriptions of the microsites as well as a link to them.

The old version is at:
http://www.smartresources.org/CommRes/
Can someone please suggest the best way to do this in PHP Nuke???

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Martin C

You might make your own using the example module. Or you could use AI's HandBook module as a starting place or one of several other very close to what your looking for modified versions of faq, content or reviews. (I think Humpa has a modded version of content that allows you to run a second instance of the content module.) Also at phpnuke.org there was discussion of other simular modules being developed and I would think released in the next day to so.

Most of what I've seen specifically for businesses are more a listing directory.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I like the sound of being able to run a second instance of content. That sounds as though it would be useful.

I would ideally like to have the 'owners' of the micro sites update these pages, so it would be good to set permissions to do this through nuke rather than tell them to edit stand alone HTML pages.

Do you have any more info on this Humpa mod?

I've looked at phpnuke.org for info on suitable modules, but didn't really recognise what might help with this.

Cheers for this,

Martin
