Promise, this is the only time I'll mention them! I was using MWP 1.23 for a couple of months before I "saw the light" of PHP-Nuke (ironically, I "looked" at it about a year or more ago, but just didn't get it then). Anyways, I have gotten the nuked TFC site and am in the process of finishing up the modding.

What would be really groovy would be if I could somehow convert the users info, and the topics/posts from MWP over to nuke, as easy as possible.

Not sure what info I would need to provide, and please don't hesitate to tell me! If there are any thoughts, I'd greatly appreciate the favor of hearing them. Thanks for the time and considerations.

Well, I guess that says something good, AI, if you don't know that MWP stands for Max Web Portal, the asp based content management system that took the Snitz Forums and added the rest of the CMS stuff.

If one doesn't have the ability to set up and run php/nuke, etc, this is one of the better alternatives (though far from perfect; still a solid choice). Well at least that was my reasoning at the time I dove in. That and I knew/know way more about asp than php (but, hey, I am learning the PHP Way of Life!)

Well, I am just the little bit embarrassed Embarassed to have to say that since I was completely unable to get any hints, I just started making the migration manually! I know, this doesn't help me, but I had to get the site's doors open and have some place for my users to come back to!

If someone can point me in the correct direction to learn how to do such migrations from MS Access db's to MySQL in the future, I would surely learn how!

Thanks for any help.

well there's not much any of us can do to help you really, being that we're all dedicated to Nuke Wink

As for Access DB to MySQL migration, there's a cool tool out there called MyManager. It's a MySQL manager which will allow you to import database data from a range of files into an SQL database.

Ahhh, now see! That's what I'm talking about baby!

Guess it just shows me that if were to create better subject lines or better, more thought out searchs, I'd be a happier person, quicker!

Thanks for the directional point, AI. Much obliged.

Yup. Quick search from the Google toolbar; filtering through a few results, and I have downloaded the 30 day trial. Looks pretty complex to use, so I am going to have to set aside some time to understand it.

Thanks again for the tip.

And here is the direct link to EMS's download page for anyone wanting this in the future:
