I read that you had server problems.
OK, you have a problem and that will be solved.
There is however one thing that I do think should also be resolved.
Many people do use a block linking to your site for news etc. and they use a block (seen at phpNuke.org block NukeCops)
When YOU are off line the block shows errors with a message like:
| Quote: |
<b>Warning</b>: fsockopen() [<a href='http://www.php.net/function.fsockopen'>function.fsockopen</a>]: php_hostconnect: connect failed in <b>/var/www/html/phpnuke/mainfile.php</b> on line <b>823</b><br />
<br />
<b>Warning</b>: fsockopen() [<a href='http://www.php.net/function.fsockopen'>function.fsockopen</a>]: unable to connect to nukecops.com:80 in <b>/var/www/html/phpnuke/mainfile.php</b> on line <b>823</b><br /> |
In my opinion, that is very bad scripting.
Before one tries to open a link at a remote site it should firstly test if that site has the requested data available and if YES, then proceed.
It should NOT display errors like above.
And offcourse, it also distorts the pages greatly.
Maybe a revised script? |

I think we've all realized that this is something that requires a code upgrade and its one I'll be looking into right away. |

I know that I have that block somewhere in my collection of scripts because I did use it. Sofar, I am unable to locate it.
If you let me know (or maybe I will have another look in your downloads) what the name of the block is, I will fix it and post it. |

OK, thanks.
However, could you still ley me knoiw the name of the block?
I did have it but after changing some items at my site I de-activated it or whatever and I am unable to find it. (Too many blocks downloaded to help others). I would like to put it back at my site.
By the way, earlier on, did you have problems again with your server? |

Exactly what I'm thinking. Bullseye to the tee. |
