why is my forum 2.0.6 diff. than this forum 2.0.6?

i originally got the non-NC 6.7 phpnuke, with 2.0.4 phpBB.

i applied the sec patches manually to fix 6.7 (one bug was that is still reported 6.5, but WAS 6.7)

i then ran both scripts to update the phpBB. It now says 2.0.6

BUT I WANT QUICK REPLY in my forum and its not there.
how can that be?
And I don't get the TOP POSTERS listing at the bottom of forum pages.

someone please tell me exactly how to upgrade to a forum version with Quick Reply.

Did you upload the 2.0.5 files then run the upgrade script. Then, after that, upload the 2.0.6 changes then run that upgrade script?

Hrm... sorry if this sounds silly, but the 'quick reply' was there before you upgraded and you haven't switched your theme, right?

EDIT: ROFLMAO! Mine is missing too. I never use it, so I never noticed it until now. Let me check into this. I don't even know if I had it before... Embarassed

I have installed the Advacned Quick Reply Hack EXACTLY how it said and nothing has changed.

I really dont know what went wrong.

Was this hack designed for a stand alone forum or designed for PHP-Nuke?

Note:I do not use /themes/your_theme/fourms/
so i made the forums folder inside my current theme and placed the file quick_reply.tpl there and also here: /modules/forums/tmeplates/subSilver/

Yes, the hacks were designed for standalone phpBB originally, but they will probably work on Nuke (I'm assuming), since they were on a Nuke website.

I don't know how to put this nicely, so I'll just say it...

I went over to the author's web site, and someone asked if these hacks would work on PHP-Nuke. The author was offended and said he doesn't run CMS software, nor would he ever, so he doesn't know if they will work on Nuke, nor does he care.

My reading on the situation is they will probably work on Nuke with some tweaking, but don't depend on a sympathetic ear from the author, like you get here, if they don't...

i'm still looking for the QUICK REPLY code thats in this 2.0.6 phpBB.

the hack at this other guy's site is not even the same as whats used here.

Your previous post was removed because of the attitude/language used, now head over to www.portedmods.com where you will find the mod you are looking for, do not get the advanced version as it is the one you don't like.
