I am currently running PhPBB v2.06 with no problems and I've been trying for the past 3 days to import its database to Php-Nuke to migrate to the built-in version it has.

The administration account for PhPbb is called "Admin". All posts by the admin account show up correctly as 'Admin'.

After I import the PhPBB database to PhpNuke, the problems start...

Firstly, I create the administration account for PhpNuke and call it "Admin" and then proceed to the import.

After the import is complete, I log into phpnuke and goto the forums, where the Admin posts now show up as "Guest".

I register a new account through phpnuke, and log in. When I goto the forums from this new account, I am not automatically logged into the forum as the new user which is the first sign of something not working correctly. I then use the "Login" link inside the forums, but it takes me back to the "My Account" page in Php nuke!

I then try and log into phpnuke using an old account which was imported from phpbb and it works fine! It logs into phpnuke, and when I click on the link to enter the forums, im logged in already, as its surpose to work.

I'm suspecting that something goes wrong with every new account created in phpnuke, after the phpBB database is imported to phpnuke.

The script used for the import is the one available from http://www.ruleit.co.uk/nuke

Can anyone provide some assitance or advice as to what I should try or check next ?

All response and suggestions are always appreciated.

Thank you.

Awh,

Unfortunately I haven't figured it out. I've spent so much time trying different scripts to import the database, but the same problem arises.

What I am certain about is its got something to do with the fact there are 2 "administrator" account (one for phpnuke and one for the standalone phpbb 2.0.6) which get "mixed" up and cause these problems.

I noticed that if I delete the phpbb "admin" account and then import it to phpnuke, the phpnuke forum will show all of admin's posts as "admin", which is correct, but the username is not "clickable" since it has been deleted, which is acceptable as a solution, but the main login problem for all new users to the phpnuke system remains..... they cant login to the forums.

I've check on many sites for additional information, and have posted related questions to other forums, to no avail.

If you do find a way around this problem, let me know!!

I'll keep you informed on any progress made.
