PHP-Nuke-6.5RC1.tar.gz Problem With Forum

Ok, Im a newbie for sure.
I installed PHP-Nuke-6.5RC1.tar.gz. I have site up and running. All I did was create my user account and god account. I didnt modify or install anything else. I just typed in some of my info url, etc.... I also went to forums from admin icon and added info also, then went back to main admin.Ok here we go:

?1: When in admin I hit forum icon for forums in admin and give's me download box for index.php from admin folder in forums.......

?2: Also when I was first in there I didnt see to change time to eastern etc. only gmt+ etc.

Would like some help..Thank You

2) Check again the timezone offset would be in + or - GMT

The Time is in the Forum Admin under the configuration link.

got back:

PHP-Nuke has a default $sitekey value as distributed in config.php. You should change this immediately to a unique value only you know.

I fixed that. No errors everything seems fine.

I read link for fix about gzip compression, i have phpmyadmin, I can get into it but dont know where to put that code or use it...

With the time zones I know where it is in management but When I had stand alone version of forums I use to be able to change it to eastern,paciffic, etc , all i see is the gmt + - etc...

Another way to fix the compression issue is to comment out the line

ob_start('ob_gzhandler');

in the forums/admin/page_header_admin.php

The timezone list would be nice but you can figure it out I'm in central which is -06:00 GMT
