Hi Everyone,

Well, I am very impressed with the work done by the NC team on the latest 6.5 bundle. However, I have run into a few minor bugs and thought it best to post them here.

Since I have been using the 6.5 with SP3 fixes, I ran the NukeSQL file to upgrade my mySQL table. The connection went fine and I clicked on the 6.5 to Bundle upgrade and received the following error:

Quote:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/ebuckley/public_html/nukesql.php:####) in /home/censored/public_html/mainfile.php on line 165

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare translate() (previously declared in /home/censored/public_html/language/lang-english.php:197) in /home/censored/public_html/language/lang-english.php on line 197

I have replaced the port number with ####. If you need it I can supply it but I wasn't sure if publishing it provided any invitations. I have also replaced the name of my home directory with the word "censored".

It seems prudent that such a utility exist to check the sites existing MySQL structure and, not only add missing tables, but update existing tables with values that are missing. The trick comes with tables such as nuke_blocks and nuke_modules where the users may have added their own custom block and module. 2704

I think I have most everything working, but I imagine I will run into other DB problems in the future.

One new problem that has come up is with the addition of a directory called CVS throughout the distribution. This causes no problem except in the Modules directory where the PHP code automatically adds module entries based on the directories in the /modules directory. I think the CVS directory is just for a Checksum operation, but my install thinks it is a Deactivated module and when I click it I am told "Sorry, file does not exist". And they are correct.

Oh ... one more thing. the file xml.gif is missing from the /images directory.

that's all for now. Cheers,

erbuc

It turns out that I never really addressed the error as I assumed that this was trying to redeclare a variable that had already been set. So rather than spend time going through the code to fix it, I spent the time going through the nukesql file and updating my database tables.

In fact, if I run the script now, I get the following errors:
Quote:
Warning: Variable passed to each() is not an array or object in /home/ebuckley/public_html/trackhack.php on line 127
Warning: Variable passed to each() is not an array or object in /home/ebuckley/public_html/trackhack.php on line 133
Warning: Variable passed to each() is not an array or object in /home/ebuckley/public_html/trackhack.php on line 139

When I click "run the test" to run the conntest, it just loops back to the first menu.

But here is how I fixed my tables:

I used phpMyadmin to examine the database and the tables contained within. I then went throught the SQL file and compared the commands for creating tables. If a table name was in the SQL file but not in my database, I simply copied the SQL commands from the SQL file, pasted them into phpMyadmin and executed the command.

One of the tables that existed for forums needed additional fields and that took the longest time to fix.

As I mentioned before, it would be helpful to have a utility that examins all of the users tables, checks their structure, adds the necessary fields and any new tables.

It looks like this was the intended purpose of the NukeSQL.php file. But either I have something set wrong on the server or something else is wrong.

Maybe these posts will solicit a response.
