MySql problems with phpnuke 8

Hi,

I have setup over 10 phpnuke sites but this is the first time I come across this problem.

I have a module called GCalendar... one of the fields is called "Description" which describes what the event is about.

When I create a new event with a description such as "test" it works fine... I get a message "Thank you for submitting event" however, if I make the description a full sentence like:

"Meet at ZWZ for Breakfast at 7:00am, take off at 7:45am to daytona for lunch at the Hotel.

This will be followed by a ride through orlando and back early afternoon"

Once I press submit, it sends me to the home page without writing into the database!!!

I also faced the same problem when I edited the PREFERENCES in the ADMIN module... whatever changes I make to preferences are not being written on the db. I had to make the changes by going to phpmyadmin and updating them manually...

any idea what I should fix?
