To whom it may concern! (and whos ever up for a challenge)
First off let me say, EXCELLENT tutorials and help threads in this site. But! I am truely probably one of the most ignorant people when it comes to code/computer language. I do build my own machines but all have been windows based and I know squa-doosh about Linux or MySQL.
So my question to you all wonders of the web site world. Is there anyone that would be remotely interested in maybe having a little online session with me on any sort of verbal communication program (ventrilo, teamspeak, etc etc) to paint a bigger better picture of how to start something up?
The reason I ask is for more or less just more knowledge of the computer world, and I would like to try and help one of my good friends start a small e-commerce business and get him away from eBay.
Thank you very much for your time and your eyes to this post.
SMF and PHP Nuke integration is ready! Take a look at it by clicking on the link above.

If you are serious about setting up an e-commerce site then you might want to steer clear of PHP-Nuke. It was not designed with "security" and commerce. I would suggest posting an ad on craigslist or find someone who has a good deal of knowledge on this subject.
If you go the Ubuntu way:
Set up Ubuntu > harden against hacking > set up network connection to let outside world in > set up e-commerce site > harden against hacking > start using site to do business on the internet > find out how site was hacked and fix it
If you are unfamiliar with any of these steps (setting up Ubuntu as a server will most likely be the most difficult part), then you might want to hire someone else to do it.
