One of my users is having a problem logging into my site. They assure me that their cookies are enabled on their browser and were able to login just a week ago but now when they try to login they are getting this

Cookie functions seem to be disabled.
Please change your browser settings!

I can only take their word for how their browser is setup but they are a long time member who I would hate to lose for a technical glitch.

The only changes I have made to the site since their last login was adding Google Adsence to the footer of the site. Could this be the problem? No one else is experiancing this trouble ( atleast that I know of) So what have I missed that I can ask them to try so we can fix this?

I'm running version 7.6 pl3 with sentinal 2.3.2 installed ( I know I need to upgrade that)

Thanks in advance.

Hmm this doesn't seem to be anything in phpNuke.
Perhaps it is Sentinel is blocking this?

Are they using some kind of proxy server or very paranoid firewall?

Thats what I thought. Oh well thanks for your help anyway. I guess this will just be something to give me an ulcer with.

Get them to check their clock time and date on their pc you may find it has been altered or they have a new pc and not set the time and date, quite a common problem for my members

A very old thread, but still a issue with lots of people. I recently had the same issue and found an answer at Raven's site:

Maybe it will help someone else out there.
