I have been using phpnuke here for a while but I've never set it up completely from scratch with the server included. My boss has asked me to set up a type of website that our group to be able to access internally on our network. I work in IT and I and my boss along with a handfull of other techs are located at out corprate office. We have techs that are located all over the contry at various sites. I guess my question here is from a server standpoint what would I need to have running to be able to use nuke? It looks like windows server 2003's IIS would work? Do I actually have to purchase mysql? Is there something better then Nuke that I could use? Is there any intructions out there in how to configure the server side? I know the host I use for my site uses phpmyadmin. Im guessing I would need to run that as well.
Anyway thanks for any info you can provide!

I just saw that Appserve thing. would that be all I need? Seems to easy but I"m checking it out.

I recommend a full WAMP setup like Appserve. It should install Apache, MySQL, PHP for you. That is the basics you need to get started, and its all free.
phpNuke is not really supported for MSSQL ... and is much easier to work with in Apache than IIS.
I am working on setting it all up. I messed with it yesterday a bit. Trying to get the myphpadmin part setup. I'm a newb to getting this stuff setup. dosn't seem to be any nice little interface for any of the things that install?
as for appache and IIS. I only have a win2003 server copy. Now since apache comes with the bundle do I not need to install IIS on the server? I do want FTP on the server however. Isn't that part of IIS?

There are many standalone FTP servers, you wouldn't necessarily have to run IIS's. But if its already installed.. feel free to use it
