Due to my site being hacked, am now following advice and have set global_registers to OFF and display_errors to OFF in php.ini file. Next advice says to change default table prefix from "nuke" to something else - this is I understand is in the config.php file, the question is can this be done retrospectively or do I change it and then reinstall the database?
the same applies to the site key, which should also be changed and again, can this be done retrospectively or do I change it and then reinstall the database?
Any help appreciated. Thanks

You can do this retroactively. Just rename the tables using phpMyAdmin. I'd done this plenty of times.. there is a script to help you generate the SQL commands, but I can't find it at the moment
Hello Evaders99, Have done the re-names of the default table prefixes. Went to phpMyAdmin and found the database tables listed in localhost (95 of them in nuke 8.0) and used OPERATIONS to rename them FROM - for example nuke_modules TO newname_modules. Did this for all 95 tables.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for pointing me in the right direction. What can I do to show my appreciation?
