Setting / Adding Timezone GMT Half-values

This only applies to getting the forums to work, as phpBB designs.

First, your users table needs the following change

ALTER TABLE nuke_users CHANGE user_timezone user_timezone DECIMAL( 5, 2 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0.0'

Now all the half-value timezones (GMT -3.5, etc) should be selectable from the Forums profile

If we wanted to add other timezones (say the missing GMT -2.5 one)
We'll need to do some more modifications

OPEN
modules/Forums/language/lang_english/lang_main.php

FIND

Code:

$lang['-3'] = 'GMT - 3 Hours';

ADD AFTER

Code:

$lang['-2.5'] = 'GMT - 2.5 Hours';

FIND

Code:

$lang['tz']['-3'] = 'GMT - 3 Hours';

ADD AFTER

Code:

$lang['tz']['-2.5'] = 'GMT - 2.5 Hours';

Repeat these steps for others you want to add

I know this is old, but can you do the same thing with removing timezones? So that, say leaving only one or 2 choices or maybe just having a default for the site.

I am running a location specific site that doesn't cross any timezones, and a few users are complaining that the 'site time' is off. The forums admin shows it is set for the right time, I can only assume they set, or have not set at all, their timezones in the 'Your Account>Info" page.

I guess What I really would like, would be a way to disable that feature and just have it set all for local time.
