Either I am banned or the Comments part of the News article system has been broken ever since the website problems a few weeks ago.
I have been wanting to make some strong comments, however, I cannot do it. I have noticed no one else has commented on News articles in a very long time. Have you instituted the PHPNuke.org policy here?
I will make my comment here about the News article pertaining to the Survey poll taken on PHPNuke.org regarding what new features are requested for version 8.0.
That poll is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. Until the original Nuke code is secure, and until the original Nuke code abides by the World Wide Web Consortium for proper html code, there is really nothing to discuss. Good grief... if there was not a "Patch Team" or security issues resolved by NSN and Ravensphp.... then PHPNuke would be dead in the water. When are the ones closest to FB going to stand up and demand security first?! Those here must have some kind of working relationship with FB. Why not do something about it?
Just how many other CMS need to have security teams not affiliated with them??? Just how many other CMS need to point to other websites to be able to keep would-be hackers away?
How can one possibly "celebrate" the community when it is so disfunctional at its very core???
Until FB acknowledges the horrible original code and pledges to incorporate at least the latest Patches, there is nothing to celebrate, and nothing to be gained from new features. What good are new features when a hacker can gain control of the website?
Would you like more proof of this core need??? Look no further than the forums here. When asked about security, what is the response of those in the know? yep..... put in the Patches and consider installing Sentinel.
When is the community going to stand up and say enough is enough? I have been standing for over a year now....
News, etc. comments system hasn't been working on my site either. I can't figure out why users can't leave comments. We've added a link from our articles to a forum setup just for comments on that article. It's clunky and I wish there was a fix for the phpnuke comment feature.
