The problem is as follows. When a new member registers everything seems fine untill they receive the conformation email to activate their account. then they cilck the activation link the following error appears in explorer,
error 404: File not found
The document you requested is not found.
Can you help please as its driving me nutts.

In admin.php..... preferences, make sure you have set the Site URL correctly

Go to your admin.php (admin control panel of PHP-Nuke) click the preferences icon and in the box marked Site URL, enter the correct URL for your site. This should be http://www.yoursite.com or, if your site is in a subdirectory it should be http://www.yoursite.com/yoursubdirectory
