Problems after installing Sentinel mainfile.php backend.php

Hi all, long time lurker, just signed up. I am having some problems after installing Sentinel with my mainfile.php and backend.php files. At the main page http://www.poee.co.uk/web/ I get this at the top of the screen:

Sometimes it's not there.

If I try to access backend.php I get sometimes get the above message then on refresh I always get this:

the '^' is pointing to the '&' in 'C. Augusto ValdÃ'.

Any help would be appreciated. Smile

I just realised those characters didn't post right. Still, I'm confused as hell as to why I'm getting the error.
