Can't make a FAQ page

I recently started a site, and the server I'm using had version 6.9 available. Everything's been working fine so far--until I tried to make a FAQ page. I click the icon on the admin page and get the "Create Category" fill-in, but when I create one and hit "submit" nothing happens.

I just realized that the Category Creation section is ALL I'm getting.

I get no Add questions or Add Answers section.

I tried doing this through phpMyAdmin and no luck.

Have you tried the latest Patched files for 6.9? http://www.nukeresources.com

I downloaded those, but when I uploaded them--I only had part of my admin panel, and an "Illegal File Access" message at top.

Am I missing something?

You will get this error if some of your scripts are not updated to the new admin permissions

You must have in admin.php

Code:

define('ADMIN_FILE', true);

and your admin scripts must use

if ( !defined('ADMIN_FILE') )

Actually, you folks aren't going to believe this. I used an earlier adminfaq.php, and I looked at the SQL error message carefully.

It was Case Sensitive! LOL

I fixed that, and everything seems to be working now.

Yes, the tables are case sensitive. I believe this was a problem in the 6.x series, later fixed to all lowercase
