hi i'm having problems using the nukecops webinstaller to upgrade my 6.0 site to 6.8
it gives the following error:
Warning: ob_start(): output handler \'ob_gzhandler\' cannot be used twice in /public_html/mainfile.php on line 7
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /public_html/mainfile.php on line 31
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare translate() (previously declared in /public_html/language/lang-english.php:166) in /public_html/language/lang-english.php on line 166
can someone please help?
i don't want to lose any of my data from 6.0 especially the users....
i also have xforum as my forums, and is there a way to transfer all of that data into the nuke6.8 bbforums?
instead of a webinstaller is there just an sql query script i can use to convert the 6.0 tables into 6.8?
thank you in advance : ) |

Your version of PHP is not recent enough for v6.5 and forward. v6.5 requires PHP v4.1.0 or greater. Also, to upgrade to v6.8, you have to have a copy of v6.8 files. The installer only updates the database, not the files. |

The links to conntest and analyzer links. Download them from my signature link, install them, run them to see what they do, and then post the links in a reply so that we can look at your system. Spend some time in the forums to see what they do and why we need them. it saves all kinds of questions. read the Welcome Announcement in the Forum Index also, please. |

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Your PHP-Nuke CMS Is Old!
Your Version Reason For Vulnerability
6.0 PHP-Nuke, with each new release (currently at 6.5), fixes vulnerabilities and exploits that older versions are susceptible to. This is a general alert for you to be aware that running older PHP-Nuke versions may leave it open to such attacks. It is your choice whether to upgrade or not to the newest version (regardless of status: gold, release candidate, or beta). But if you do decide to upgrade, for your sake make sure you backup 100% your MySQL database and all of your filesystem files.
WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! Your phpbb2 forums are at Risk!
Version Reason For Vulnerability
2 The phpBB group at phpBB.com frequently update their forums software to eliminate known vulnerabilities and exploits. Analyzer has found that your forums port is not the newest release: 2.0.4. Please visit http://nukecops.com in order to obtain an upgrade package to 2.0.4. By not staying current in phpBB upgrades you leave your forums open to attack. The choice to upgrade, backup, or stay at current version is 100% completely yours, all we have done is alerted you to it. |

That doesn't help at all. You need to post the link. Nothing bad will happen. After we respond you can delete them. 100's have doen it before you and 100's will do it after. |

well, i upgraded my 6.0-6.8 not by using the web installer, but by actually going through each upgrade.php file that came with : )
like, i ran upgrade60-65.php, then 65-66, then the 66-67, and 67-68 and it totally worked! : ) without a hitch!
but now my main problem is that i am getting bouncebacks to my webmaster email address of people trying to register onto my site....it says their host is unknown, whether its earthlink.net, hotmail, or any domain....people are not getting their confirmation emails.....why is this happeneing? i've searched all over for a fix, but i haven't found anything clear??
it never happened before using 6.0, just now with 6.8 ... what gives?
i also looked at the youraccount file from 6.0 and 6.8 and the mail code is exactly the same...
what is wrong here?
thanks in advance : ) |
