I just checked. The Lunar Almanac is working just fine. BTW any ways I can increase the speed of my site a bit more?

I have found most of the speed problems (90%) relate to mysql queries not using index files. If you have shell access, and have larger tables, then download mytop, and monitor your queries to see if any of them is running slow.

I just checked with my site, the speed was ok, 0.34 secs! So now speed is not much of an objective, but the thing is now bandwidth!
My site is using simply too much bandwidth! Is there a way to reduce bandwidth usage?

I'd say use a good log analyzer, and find out what is sucking your bandwidth (what page, what graphics, a bot sucking all pages?)
Could you please suggest any such Log Analyser? I am not sure about this. But it would be a great help.

Bandwidth Limit Exceeded
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later.
Apache/1.3.31 Server at www.pottersrealm.zonichost.com Port 80
6 days into the month you've exceeded your bandwidth limit?
You might want to consider changing your host. That might solve some of your speed issues as well.

Yeah I know, but those are free hosts, and there is a little problem, also my site does use a lot of bandwidth, it is simply enormous!!!
So I think by Saturday it willbe up! So can you suggest a log analyzer?

For how much bandwidth do you have on this free webspace? 2 megs?
The point I was trying to make is that, in my opinion, you are focusing on the wrong problem.
As with most "free" hosts, you pay for it with headaches and downtime rather than dollars.

Actually this is the first ever such problem I had, plus I get 250 MB of space and 1GB bandwidth, in November, I'll be getting 1GB of space and 5GB bandwidth, which is way too much than any paid host can provide!
And the best part is it is free (I am a broke student!! )
