Just set up a site with nuke 7.3 and added AS 1.7, seems to be effectively securing the site based on the tests posted in the forum. However, I can not access the AS configuration page, I get thrown to the Access Denied page requiring the 2 security codes.

I thought perhaps my testing triggered a ban since I failed to read farther in the post where it warned of logging out before testing, so I restored the original files and dropped the tables. Stepped back through the install.txt process with the same results. AS is working, but no access to the configuration page.

I'm using the original admin login created during the nuke install.

Also followed the tips.txt to load the link into the Nuke admin panel, but assume the issue above is preventing it from showing.

Any pointers on where I may have FUBARed?

Ok, logged out as admin, then run asec.php (or whatever the name is). Fills the correct two security codes to the given fields. if these codes valid, click on the first button, "God Admin approval". Now login as god admin and run the asec.php to the second time.

Please note, asec.php can only accessed by God admin. If due of some reasons you change your admin name (not the nickname) to anything else, you'll loose the access rights to Admin Secure. In this situation, you'll have to login as admin that can manage "Edit Authors" menu in PHP-Nuke admin panel. Create a new God admin as follows:

Nickname: [anything to non-existing nickname]
Name: God (be sure no whitespaces)
Email: [anything]
URL: [anything]

Now repeat the "God Admin Approval" steps as instructed above. Login with this new admin account to access asec.php. Sounds complicated, but necessary to protect not only the site but also the access to Admin Secure. Smile

If you having troubles doing these and have no success, don't hesitate to ask again. Smile

Thanks Madman, second process worked. Had to create a new God Admin. Working properly now.
